The total amount of funds available for grants is dependent upon the allocation of endowment funds plus interest income generated by the Foundation each fiscal year. The average size of grant awarded in the past has been $250.00; however, more may be requested. Grant awards will be made to non-profit organizations for projects that serve the greater Carlisle area and meet the specific guidelines. Awards will not be made for debt relief or ongoing operations subsidies. The applications will be reviewed by the Grantmaking Committee during the month of October; the Committee’s recommendations will be voted upon by the Board of Directors in November for distribution in December.
A signed original plus eight (8) copies of the application are to be submitted any of the following ways:
· mail to the Carlisle Foundation at P.O. Box 430, Carlisle, IA 50047;
· hand deliver to the Carlisle City Hall at 195 N. 1st Street in Carlisle.
Applications must be typed; hand-written forms will not be accepted. All information requested must be provided or the application will be disqualified.
